how to find name of computer?

Esmeralda Pigram: click your PC icon.....c/system properties, will give you name of your PC + basic info..

Monty Sieloff: Go to start, go to run, type in cmd (alternatively just get to the command prompt via the icon)Once the command prompt opens, type ipconfig /allIt'll show you the Host Name....................................: Whatever your PC is called here

Roxane Leathers: 1go to my computer2right click go to properties and see computer name

Veta Slicker: If the computer is on your LAN and you're running DNS or WINS, you can use the name. Otherwise you'll need the IP address. Where you get that depends on whether the computer is on your LAN or somewhere else. (And if it's somewhere else, and behind a router, you're going to have to forward port 3389 to that computer through its router.)
