Alden Soldano: there are a couple of ways you could start building credit, you could get a small personal loan which you might need a cosigner or the best way will be getting a credit cards, you could get a credit card and use it for your every day expenses but make sure you pay in full at the end of the month that way it will show pay in full everytime the credit card company reports to the credit beuros. Justin Casten: If you $500 in a savings account, you can convert that into a secured card. Most banks can set it up for you. Do not go to a credit union because most do not report the bureaus in order to keep the cost down

Alden Soldano: There are few options for you to start building credit. One way and the way i would take, is a secured credit card. basically what you do is you go to a bank and you open a savings account a normally you have to start it with 300 bucks. Put 300 in there and you have a credit card and your limit is 300 bucks. its a great and fast way to start building up your credit. if you have bill like cell phone or cable bill just get them to automatically! take it off the card turn right around and pay it off out of ! your checking account that way interest wont be a factor and it will build you credit up pretty quickly. In a matter of 6-9 months you can go get a real credit card and use the banks money haha. but the good thing about the secured credit card is you can add to the card. For example if you start it up with 300 you limit on the card is 300 but you can go in and add another 300 to the card now you limit it 600, you control your limit. Second way is if maybe one of you parents wants to take a certain amount off their credit limit and they can open a card for you and put it on your card and they would be an authorized signer. But i would go for the secured....Show more
