is journalism a product or service?

is journalism a product or service?

answers 0:i am guessing it is a service but newspapers and stuff are a product...and another question is of the following which one could be a product and service?DENTAL HYGIENIST: LAWYER:COOK: INSURANCE SALESPERSON: FARMER: TAXI DRIVER: WELDERMINER: NURSE: TEACHER: BANK MANAGER:AUTO WORKER: PRINTER:AUTHOR:ARTIST: JOURNALIST:...Show moreanswers 1:i meant to say do these people perform a service or sell a product. not if they themselves are the service or product.answers 2:DENTAL HYGIENIST: ServiceLAWYER: ServiceCOOK: ServiceINSURANCE SALESPERSON: Tough one...product/serviceFARMER: ProductTAXI DRIVER: ServiceWELDER: ProductMINER: ProductNURSE: ServiceTEACHER: ServiceBANK MANAGER: ServiceAUTO WORKER: ServicePRINTER: Printer as in a person who prints something? Service, if you're talking about printers..then prod! uct.AUTHOR: Product?ARTIST: Product tooJOURNALIST: Service...answers 3:journalists, like nurses, farmers, etc. are neither a product nor service. they are people. you buy a loaf of bread or a newspaper and you pay someone to perform an auto repair or a tooth extraction but you don't buy the person who provides those products and services.answers 4:i would say the way you deliver the information is the product. not the information itself but the way it is distributed. Magazines do a fine job ruining the lives of celeberties and making new ones to make more money. As for a service well that depends on several factors, if it was info on a need to know basis that would be a service ( ex. a possible terrorist attack) that would be a duty or a service.Im not sure your question probaby varies to everyone. its hard to point out the two. i think a service is a duty. i think a product is somthing someone wants. the two vary depending on the context i suppose. i hope this helps...
